Relax Gaming in new move with Meridian Gaming

A major provider of tier-one games in the casino sector has announced that it will offer some of its games to a new operator.
Relax Gaming said that its top-tier games will be provided to Meridian Gaming, which is an iGaming aggregation service. The service will focus on the burgeoning market in Serbia in Eastern Europe, as well as branching out into offering its games to online casinos in Korea. With these new territories, both partners are striving to broaden their games’ appeal into new markets.
A variety of games will be provided as part of this new move, including Beast Mode which has received rave reviews and continues to build an avid audience of fans. Also represented on the list will be Temple Tumble and Money Train 2, both of which are regularly found in the lobbies of the world’s most popular online casinos.
The move is also expected to see Meridian Gaming provided with access to the games developed by various partners of Relax Gaming. Currently, Meridian Gaming operates in 15 nations or territories around the world – and is also present in several land-based casinos too.
In a statement, a senior figure at Relax Gaming said that the company was very pleased about moving into the sector in Serbia and Korea for the first time.
Nadiya Attard, the CCO at Relax Gaming Ltd, said that the company was “delighted” about the prospect.
“We’re delighted to make our first appearance in the Serbian market with Meridian Gaming,” she explained.
She added that Meridian Gaming had demonstrated the capacity to work across a vast geographical range.
“The operator boasts an impressive reach across three continents, now adding Asia to our portfolio, and this deal gives us a real boost as we look to make a statement in this region,” she said.
She also argued that the time was right for this to proceed and that it was appropriate for “differentiation” to be driven internationally.
“This is the ideal move to ensure we continue to drive differentiation on the global stage and we look forward to a long and positive relationship with Meridian to ensure we both accomplish that,” she explained.
Some experts pointed out that this could be construed as a risky move, with markets like these nowhere near as established as some of the ‘mainstream’ casino geos. However, the counter argument against this sees other analysts raising the player value point. While there may be fewer plays gambling online in Eastern Europe or South East Asia, those who do often wager at much increased levels.
With the new combination of Relax Gaming’s catalog of top-quality slots titles alongside Meridian Gaming’s rock-solid operator sites, few would argue against this new powerhouse making healthy returns in these niche targets.
